Background Information:

In vintage 2010: Free SO2 target at bottling is 35 ppm; also uses approximately 800 mg of CO2 (which is much higher than most producers – see Le Moine for another example)
In vintage 2017: (per William Kelley of the Wine Advocate) Ballot Millot now has a target of 40 ppm of free SO2

Meursault–Genèvrières (Mar. 2022) 1 btl not oxidized. Lovely orchard fruits & orange blossom in the nose. More dry on the palate than the nose would have suggested, with the lush fruit beautifully balanced by mineral nuances. Purchased at retail in Hong Kong circa 2016. [Rayner Cheung]

Meursault–Charmes (Jan. 2023): 1 btl prematurely oxidized. Nose largely fine, but somewhat flat on the palate & tasting of dried peaches, getting worse with air. Purchased at retail in Hong Kong circa Feb. 2017. [Rayner Cheung]

Meursault–Charmes (Mar. 2023): 1 btl not oxidized. Fabulous wine, still quite youthful in color. Sensational mineralité in the nose overlaying strong hints of tropical fruit. Meursault–Genèvrières (Aug. 2023 – ): 2 btls not oxidized. Appropriately pale to medium gold. 1st btl more taut than the Charmes & showing less fruit in the nose & on the palate, but 2nd btl (May 2024) opened up beautifully in the glass.
